Five rally cars closely linked to the late Craig Breen were reunited at Déjà Vu Waterford last weekend, as the Irish motorsport community came together to remember the Waterford driver and his friend and hero Frank Meagher.

Each car represented a different chapter of Breen’s remarkable career from his love of Irish rallying to his time at the top of the World Rally Championship.
1. Ford Sierra Cosworth RS – Craig’s 2022 Killarney Historic Rally car

The Ford Sierra Cosworth RS that Breen drove on the 2022 Rentokil Initial Killarney Historic Rally was one of the headline cars in attendance. The Sierra driven by his dad Ray Breen with daughter Kellie co-driving, carries deep sentimental value as it was Craig’s final competitive outing on home soil – the 2023 West Cork Rally.
2. Citroën DS3 R5 – The 2016 Circuit of Ireland winner

The Citroën DS3 R5 that Breen used to win the 2016 Circuit of Ireland Rally also appeared, freshly restored to its original specification by KG Motorsport. The car is now owned by Andrew Fanning and was driven at Déjà Vu by Paul Nagle and James Fulton, both of whom co-drove for Breen during his career.
3. BMW M3 E30 – Tribute to Craig’s 2021 Historic success

Castleisland’s Paul Ahern brought his stunning BMW M3 E30, a split-livery creation paying tribute to both Craig Breen and Bertie Fisher. One side carried the familiar Rentokil Initial colours Breen used when he won the 2021 Killarney Historic Rally, while the other side wore Tuff Mac livery marking 35 years since Fisher’s 1990 Rally of the Lakes win. The car was co-driven by Kieran Murphy and attracted huge interest throughout the weekend.
4. Hyundai i20 WRC Rally1 – World Championship success story

The Hyundai i20 WRC Rally1 that Breen and Nagle campaigned during the 2021 World Rally Championship season was adriven at Déjà Vu by Donagh Kelly.
This car symbolised Breen’s years competing at the highest level, representing Ireland with distinction against the world’s best.
5. Peugeot 206 T16 – The Kerry debut
The Peugeot 206 T16, which made its European tarmac debut on the 2014 Circuit of Kerry, also took part.
