Two Books Launched at Kilgarvan Motor Museum

Two new books were launched at the Kilgarvan Motor Museum on Sunday, drawing a strong local turnout.

Following on from the success of his first book, From Cornwall to Kerry, published four years ago, John Mitchell launched his second title, A Life of Cars, Family and Farms.

The new book is filled with stories from John’s life, covering his time in farming, his work with cars, and his family life. The event was attended by family members, friends, and neighbours.

Minister Michael Healy-Rae spoke highly of John and his writing, as did John’s long-time friend Tony Darmody from Killarney.

A third book was also unveiled at the event, featuring the full collection of vehicles housed in the Kilgarvan Motor Museum.

John extended his thanks to his family and friends who helped put the books together and to everyone who attended the launch.

All three books are now available at the museum and in shops in Kilgarvan and Kenmare, and will be available online in the coming weeks at www.kilgarvanmotormuseum.ie.
