Two Kerry Crews Heading to Rallylegend in San Marino

Two Kerry crews will compete at Rallylegend in San Marino this weekend, with strong local support travelling to support them on the event.

Kerry Motor Club member Ray Stack will make his first competitive start outside Ireland as 2025 is a milestone year for both the driver and the club.

Stack turned 50 earlier this year, the same year the Circuit of Kerry celebrated its 50th anniversary.

To mark both occasions, fellow club members came together to fund his entry. He will drive a Ford Escort Mk2 with his brother Gene co-driving.

Also making the trip are 2025 Rally of the Lakes National Rally winners Rob Duggan and John McCarthy, who were late additions to the entry list. They will also compete in an Escort Mk2.

In total, more than 200 Kerry supporters are expected to travel.

There is further Kerry interest in the co-driver’s seat, with Ciara Griffin teaming up with Cork’s Neil Phelan in another Escort.

Rallylegend takes place in the Republic of San Marino from October 2–5. The event begins on Thursday evening with the three-kilometre Sprint Legend Race, continues with a night stage on Friday, and runs through a full programme on Saturday and Sunday.

It will be the first time both Kerry crews compete in San Marino, with Ray and Gene Stack also making his international debut.

The Sprint Legend Race is confirmed for Thursday evening, with the rally getting underway on Friday evening, with a night-time stage, followed by the classic programme on Saturday and Sunday.

Countless initiatives are planned at Rally Village, the beating heart of Rallylegend, while “The Legend” will see exciting exhibition laps and parades

The race is open to the Historic, Classic and WRC categories, while the non-competitive Legend Stars category will see its drivers and vehicles putting on a show for the fans.
