Alan Ring among the entries for Rallye Elba Storico
Killarney’s Alan Ring will be one of 153 competitors taking part in the XXXVII Rallye Elba Storico – Trofeo Locman in Italy this week.
The rally, which runs from Thursday to Saturday this week has attracted a record entry and continues to be one of the most popular fixtures on the European Historic Rally calendar. It is the eighth round of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship and the penultimate round of the Italian Historic Rally Championship.
Ring, who is competing in the FIA EHRC Category 4, will drive a BMW M3 E30. He lines up alongside Adrian Deasy under the Team Mats banner.
The event has drawn crews from ten different countries, underlining its reputation as the most prestigious historic rally in Europe. In total, 26 cars are entered in the European Championship, while 74 crews will contest the Italian series.
