Firies engineer Richard Browne helps Kristoffersson Motorsport to World Rallycross glory
Firies engineer Richard Browne played his part in Kristoffersson Motorsport’s success in Istanbul at the weekend, as the Swedish team secured both the Drivers’ and Teams’ FIA World Rallycross Championships.
Ole Christian Veiby took victory in Turkey, his third career World RX win, while Johan Kristoffersson finished second to seal his eighth world title, equalling Sébastien Ogier’s record and leaving him just one short of Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena’s all-time tally of nine.

The 1-2 finish also wrapped up the Teams’ Championship for Kristoffersson Motorsport, confirming their dominance of the 2025 season.
Browne, a long-time member of the Swedish squad, continues to play a key role in the engineering team behind the Volkswagen Polo RX1e machines.
