MacHale Rallying Dynasty to Race Together Again at Rally Masters, Killarney

The MacHale name will be back in the spotlight when Rally Masters takes place at Killarney Racecourse on September 27. In a major announcement, it has been confirmed that Austin MacHale and his sons, Gareth and Aaron, will all participate in the event.

Tickets for Rally Masters are already sold out.

Austin MacHale is one of Ireland’s most successful drivers, a five-time Irish Tarmac Rally Champion.

His sons carried on the family tradition at the highest levels of the sport. Gareth has competed in the World Rally Championship behind the wheel of a Ford Focus WRC, while Aaron has built his own successful career at national and international levels, winning the Irish National Rally Championship in 2007.

The three will share a Ford Focus WRC ’06 in Killarney.

It will mark the first time in sixteen years that they have all competed together. Their last joint outing came in 2009, when all three entered WRC Rally Ireland and also appeared at the Rally of the Lakes in Killarney that same year.

The event is being sponsored by Eamon Long Plant Services, a leading supplier of plant machinery spare parts based in Cork City.

All proceeds from Rally Masters will go to two charities: The Jack & Jill Foundation and LauraLynn Children’s Hospice.
