The focus now shifts to the Wexford Volkswagen Stages Rally this weekend, a two-day event with 18 stages and more than 200 competitive kilometres.
Milltown’s Ger Conway is alongside Donegal’s Ryan McHugh m in a Ford Fiesta Rally2. It will be Conway’s first outing with the rising star.
Local driver Sean Cahill and will be co-driven by Killarney and District Motor Club’s Ciara Griffin are entered in a Honda Civic.
Oisín McShane and Niall Myers will run in a Peugeot 208 R2. Myers, from Ballyhar, continues his partnership with McShane.
Under new Motorsport Ireland rules, McShane is allowed to drive the rally car on closed stages only as he is still too young to hold a full licence. Myers will take the wheel on the road sections.
