Irish Drift Series Finale Returns to North Kerry

Irish Drift Series Finale Returns to North Kerry

The Irish Drift Series will stage its 2025 season finale at 360 Motorsports Park in Kilflynn, Co. Kerry, on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September, bringing a weekend of high-speed action and family-friendly entertainment to the heart of North Kerry.

This marks the third time the series finale has been held in Kerry, cementing the venue’s growing reputation as one of Ireland’s premier motorsport destinations.
Located in the Stack Mountains just 16 kilometres north-east of Tralee and 12 kilometres from Listowel, 360 Motorsports Park is Ireland’s only purpose-built drift track.
The facility, developed on the site of the former Kilflynn hot rod circuit, has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years and is fast becoming a key location on the Irish motorsport calendar.
The event, known as the Final Fight, will bring together Ireland’s leading professional drivers for one last battle of the season.

Spectators can expect fierce contests between Northern Ireland rivals Duane McKeever and Harry Kerr, while Japanese driver Ryusei Akiba is tipped as a possible upset maker.
Local fans will also have plenty to cheer for, with Kilflynn’s Colin O’Sullivan set to take part. At just 18 years of age, O’Sullivan has already tasted success in the Irish Drift Series and is considered one of the sport’s brightest emerging talents.
Jack Mullvihill is another local youngster set to take part.
In addition to the competitive action, organisers are emphasising the event’s family appeal. Over the course of the weekend, visitors can enjoy a showcase of Japanese car culture, food trucks offering a variety of options, and a selection of trade stands. Ample parking, both on-site and off-site with shuttle buses, ensures easy access, and children under seven years old will be admitted free of charge.

Speaking ahead of the event, Niall Gunn, manager at 360 Motorsports Park, said the finale would be one of the highlights of Kerry’s sporting calendar in 2025. “We’re thrilled to welcome the Irish Drift Series Final back to Kilflynn for the third time. This is a safe, family-friendly event with something for everyone. The action on track is spectacular, but there’s also plenty off the track to keep visitors entertained. We’re expecting a strong turnout and believe this will be one of the biggest sporting weekends in the county this year.”

Drifting has become one of the fastest-growing motorsports in Ireland, regularly attracting crowds in excess of 15,000 at major venues such as Mondello Park in Co. Kildare.
While the Kilflynn venue is more intimate, the atmosphere promises to be no less electric. With affordable ticket prices, safe viewing areas and the opportunity to see some of the best drift drivers in the world up close, organisers believe the series finale will attract families and motorsport fans from across Kerry and beyond.

The 2025 event also carries extra significance as it coincides with the 21st anniversary of the Irish Drift Series, celebrating more than two decades of homegrown and international talent competing at the highest level.

The Irish Drift Series Final takes place at 360 Motorsports Park, Kilflynn, on September 6 and 7. Gates open from 10am to 5pm daily.
