A horse race named after a motorsport event – only in Kerry
History will be made at Killarney Races this Thursday when the final race on the card is named after a motorsport event.

The Rally Masters Ireland Flat Race for four-year-olds and up, run over 2 miles and 1 furlong, carries the name of the new Rally Masters rally taking place in Killarney on September 27.
As far as is known, this is the first time anywhere in the world that a horse race has been named after a motorsport event. If readers know otherwise, Kerry Motorsport News would be glad to hear.
Rally Masters will support the Jack and Jill Foundation and Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice. Tickets for the September 27 event in Killarney are available at:
