Casey Brings Rally Stats to ALMC Hellfire Rally
Rathmore school teacher Declan Casey will co-drive in this weekend’s ALMC Hellfire Rally, bringing his trademark rally statistics to the Cavan-Meath event.

The rally will be Casey’s 116th start. His driver, Owen Roe Skelly from Oldcastle, will be competing in Class 12 with a Sherwood Pinto-powered Ford Escort — his first-ever tarmac rally.
The engine has Kerry connections. It was previously used by Casey’s former pupil Robert Falvey when the pair contested the Circuit of Kerry in 2021, Falvey’s debut rally.
Skelly, proprietor of Skelly’s Costcutter and B&B in Virginia, County Cavan, will make his first start on the sealed-surface stages made famous by the old Hellfire Rally.
The 2025 ALMC Hellfire Rally marks the event’s return after a two-year break. Based in Oldcastle, County Meath, it is round six of the Triton Showers Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship and a counting round of the Sligo Pallets Border Championship, the Top Part West Coast Championship, and the Dacia Sandero Challenge Cup.
Service will be at Flood’s Quarry just outside Oldcastle, with classic stages such as Mullaghmeen back on the itinerary, along with roads unused for more than 15 years.
