15th annual Ballymac Classic Car Run set for next Sunday August 3

15th annual Ballymac Classic Car Run set for August 3

The Ballymacelligott Vintage Club will host its 15th Annual Classic Car & Honda 50 Run on Sunday, August 3rd, with the event based at O’Riada’s Bar, Ballymacelligott.

Festivities will begin from 9am with a Cars & Coffee meet-up before the run sets off at 11:15am. This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of Lucy Breen, one of the original founders of the run alongside George Glover and John Breen.
Lucy was a well-known figure in vintage car circles across Kerry and Cork, often seen behind the wheel of her distinctive yellow 1973 Rover 2000.
As in previous years, the event will support local causes. This year’s chosen beneficiaries are Tralee Community Hospital – in recognition of the care Lucy received – and Scoil Nuachabháil, the nearby national school.
Organisers have thanked sponsors Browne’s Agri, BG Motors Killarney, and O’Riada’s Bar for their continued support. Raffles and spot prizes will take place throughout the day.
Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a great day out in memory of Lucy and in support of two worthy local causes.
