Details Confirmed for Final Round of Triton Showers National Rally Championship
The Westlodge Hotel Fastnet Stages Rally is locked in as the final round of the 2025 Triton Showers Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship. The popular Bantry-based event returns for the October Bank Holiday weekend, with the Westlodge Hotel back on board as title sponsor.
Mark Phelan steps in as Clerk of the Course this year, bringing plenty of experience as the organising team gets set to deliver another busy weekend for crews and fans alike.
The rally will run three classic stages, covering about 105 competitive kilometres. The route sticks to a compact format that’s been well received, giving crews good value and fans plenty of action with minimal moving around. Service will be centralised again.
The event remains a firm favourite with competitors across the country and will count towards the Triton National, Southern 4, Top Part West Coast, MIJRS and the Dacia Sandero Cup. A €2,500 prize fund will be up for grabs for the 1600 Challenge, keeping an eye on the clubman side of the entry list too.
The rally continues to pull strong support locally. The Westlodge Hotel leads the sponsor group, joined by Drinagh Co-op, Cork County Council, Fáilte Éireann, Pure Cork and Bantry Business Association.
As ever, the Fastnet relies on a huge volunteer effort from marshals, timekeepers, radio crews and safety teams who travel from all over Ireland and further afield to keep things running safely.
Entries and more details will be confirmed closer to the date. For now, the Fastnet team is flat out with planning and expects another strong turnout to round off the national season in West Cork.
