Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, and Aston Martin Formula One™ Team mark a historic partnership with the launch of Glenfiddich 1959 – with only a handful of bottles available exclusively at Harrods from July.

The exclusive Glenfiddich 1959 pays tribute to the year Aston Martin first joined Formula 1®.

Launching just in time for the 2025 British Grand Prix, this ultra-rare expression celebrates the enduring legacies of two homegrown icons of craftsmanship and innovation.
This extraordinary whisky celebrates a multi-year global partnership between two timeless icons, both renowned for their heritage and commitment to innovation.
Revealed for the first time at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Glenfiddich 1959 pays tribute to both companies’ legacies and their relentless pursuit of excellence.  With only a handful of precious bottles available worldwide, Glenfiddich has collaborated with acclaimed Glasgow designer John Galvin to create a bespoke presentation case.

Set to be unveiled later this year, the case is being meticulously designed to reflect the rarity and prestige of this exceptional single malt.
Galvin’s designs will draw on the rich heritage of both brands, taking cues from the sleek engineering of the Aston Martin Formula One™ Team while incorporating materials such as ash and copper, which are synonymous with Glenfiddich’s home in Dufftown.
The case will be a true celebration of craftsmanship, innovation and timeless design – marking a landmark moment in British motorsport.

This one-of-a-kind expression is a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of Glenfiddich Malt Masters across generations. Drawn from a rare sherry butt, the liquid offers unparalleled depth and complexity, embodying Glenfiddich’s pioneering spirit and offering a sensory experience that mirrors the elegance and high performance that Aston Martin brings to Formula One™.

The nose is richly layered, with notes of oak, aged leather, tannin and beeswax mingling with the earthy aroma of a dunnage warehouse floor. On the palate, oaky spice intermingles with cloves, dates, and dark chocolate with a lasting finish of dry, rich tannins.
Lawrence Stroll, Owner and Executive Chairman of Aston Martin Formula One™ Team, added: “It was 1959 when Aston Martin made its F1 debut so to produce a rare whisky from the same year is a wonderful way to celebrate the history of both brands. Aston Martin and Glenfiddich have such long and rich histories with both brands driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence. To bring those values and heritage together with something so unique as this special edition whisky is an important moment for our partnership.”

Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich Malt Master, commented: “This limited edition 1959 bottling represents a pivotal moment in history – the year Aston Martin first entered F1 and won Le Mans. To honour this milestone, we delved deep into the Glenfiddich archives and unearthed this exceptional expression from that very year.  It is a rare whisky that embodies the essence of this partnership, capturing the spirit of innovation and excellence that both Glenfiddich and Aston Martin have upheld for decades. The bottle is a tribute to our shared legacy, connecting the past with the future in a truly remarkable way.”  This once-in-a-generation bottling is a toast to a shared heritage of excellence, innovation and performance, with two timeless icons coming together to create lasting success at the highly anticipated Silverstone Grand Prix weekend.   Glenfiddich 1959, ABV 45.6%, is now exclusively available at Harrods’ Fine Wines & Spirits Room.
