Kelliher’s Toyota unveils major aftersales expansion in Tralee

Kelliher’s Toyota announced expansion plans for its aftersales department at a Tralee Chamber Members Networking Event, held at their Tralee showroom last Wednesday morning.

Kelliher’s Garage in Rathass, known as ‘the Toyota People’, has secured planning permission for a substantial expansion of its Aftersales building.

The current building, which has housed Kelliher’s aftersales operations since 2000, has experienced capacity challenges due to increased business volume.

The expansion will add approximately 700 square meters of space, enlarging all four existing sections of the building.

These include the workshop service area, the parts department, the Kelliher’s Approved Bodyshop, and the Government-appointed CVRT commercial vehicle testing area.

This substantial investment by Kelliher’s Toyota is driven by three key factors.

The main reason is to accommodate increased capacity due to the growth in Kelliher’s vehicle park and customer base.

Secondly, the expansion will provide improved staff quarters for the Kelliher’s team, offering enhanced space during their downtime. ‘

Finally, the development aims to deliver a superior customer experience for individuals dropping off, collecting, or waiting for their vehicles at Kelliher’s.

The new facility will incorporate modern technology for energy sourcing and use, and will adhere to best practices in material recycling and environmental protection. Pre-build site works are currently underway, with Kelliher’s anticipating the new facility to be operational in early to mid-2026.
