Triton Showers Motorsport National Rally Championship  prepares for second half of season with Sligo and ALMC launches

As the Triton Showers Motorsport National Rally Championship heads towards Round Four, the Ravens Rock Rally on July 6th, the latter half of the rally season is already gaining momentum with the upcoming launches of the Sligo Stages and ALMC rallies.

Sligo Stages Rally to Host WRC Navigator Arron Johnston at Launch

The FAAC Simply Automatic / Sligo Park Hotel Stages Rally 2025 is set for a full reveal at its official launch on July 1 at 7pm in the Sligo Park Hotel, just under a month before the rally on July 20.

Clerk of the Course, Ultan McGowan, and his Deputy, Kevin Cogan, who have dedicated significant time to the event over the past six months, will unveil the rally’s format and introduce their support team.

This year’s launch will feature a special guest: current WRC Works team navigator Aarron Johnston. , who partners with Takamoto Katsuta for Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT.

He will be taking time out from his busy schedule between the Acropolis Rally Greece and Rally Estonia. The Tyrone native, who began his international  motorsport career in 2019 with Oliver Solberg before joining his current Japanese teammate in mid-2021, has already achieved four top-five finishes and a podium in Sweden this year.

A preview of the rally entries is expected to be available at the launch, as the entry closing date is June 27.

Hellfire Rally Returns on August 17 after two-year hiatus

The Hellfire Rally is officially making its comeback on Sunday, August 17, after a two-year break.

The event will be a counting round for the Triton National Rally Championship, Top Part West Coast Championship, Sligo Pallets Border Championship, and the new Dacia Sandero Challenge Cup.

The rally launch will be held on Sunday, July 6, between 3pm and 5pm in The Square, Oldcastle, mirroring the 2023 launch.

Supported by Wilton Recycling, Flood Group, and Respa, Hellfire 2025 promises a day of rallying action. Rally Headquarters will be based at the Castle Cinema in Oldcastle, thanks to the support of Philip Lynch. The 2025 route will feature two classic stages returning after nearly 15 years, alongside the retained and popular Mullaghameen stage.
