The win comes just days before O’Sullivan’s 18th birthday and immediately following a demanding period of Leaving Cert examinations which continue this week.

Despite missing the practice day prior to the event due to his exams the 17-year-old driver showcased exceptional skill to emerge victorious from a field of over 80 competitors.

The Irish Drift Series serves as Ireland’s national drifting championship, featuring five rounds staged across various locations nationwide between April and September. O’Sullivan’s triumph at Watergrasshill came at the midway point of the season.

O’Sullivan is one of only two Kerry drivers currently competing in the championship.

His performance this weekend will led to bigger things.

O’Sullivan is set to participate in the exclusive Red Bull event on Spike Island on July 5, where only 16 drivers are invited to compete against some of the biggest names in the sport including Jack and Conor Shanahan and James Deane.
