Lorcan Hanafin to Make Le Mans Debut with Iron Lynx

Lorcan Hanafin, a Leeds-based driver with strong connections to Tralee, will make his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut this month for Iron Lynx. He will join the #60 Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 EVO team for the endurance race and the remainder of the FIA World Endurance Championship season.

Iron Lynx announced a new driver lineup for the #60 car, with Andrew Gilbert and Fran Rueda also making their Le Mans and WEC debuts. This change follows Claudio Schiavoni’s absence due to a back injury, leading to a revised lineup for team stability.

Iron Lynx Team Principal and CEO Andrea Piccini welcomed the new drivers, stating the team looks forward to working with them at Le Mans and for the rest of the season. Piccini also expressed gratitude to Schiavoni for allowing the team to secure a consistent driver lineup for the remainder of the year.

All three new drivers have prior experience at the Circuit de la Sarthe from Michelin Le Mans Cup Road to Le Mans events and have been competing in this year’s European Le Mans Series LMGT3 category.
