Kerry interest in Cavan and Maiden City rallies

Several Kerry co-drivers are in action this weekend for the third round of the Triton Showers Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship
The County Cavan Motor Club, along with the Hotel Kilmore and associate sponsors Finish Line Abcon, Fire Protection Ireland, Wilton Recycling, and Crosserlough Construction, have put in a massive effort to bring this event to fruition.
A strong field of Rally2 cars will compete for top honours, including Circuit of Kerry Rally winners Eddie Doherty (Co. Kilkenny) and Tom Murphy (Co. Limerick) in their Skoda Fabia
London-based Rockfield co-driver Shane Buckley is on pacenote duty for Sam Moffett, a former winner of the Cavan event, and they will be piloting a Hyundai i20 Rally 2, aiming to improve on their third place in Tralee in March.
There a strong modified entry in Cavan too with local driver Aaron McIntyre (Toyota Starlet RWD amongst the front-runners.
He will have Killarney and District Motor Club member Derry Long on the pacenotes for the nine-stage event.
Ger Conway will return to the passenger seat of Richard Moffett’s Starlet for the rally.
Meanwhile, in County Derry on Saturday, Elaine Ni She will co-drive for Richard in a Ford Fiesta Rally 3 in the Maiden City Rally.
