Walsh secures backing from Lixnaw-based Assured Power for Pre-TT races
Ardfert-based motorcycle racer Stephen Walsh has secured backing from Lixnaw-based Assured Powers for this weekend’s Pre-TT races on the Isle of Man.
Walsh will race a Honda 500 and a Honda 350 in the Junior and Senior classic races on the Billowen Circuit.
Practices gets underway on Friday with qualifying on Saturday and racing on Sunday
Lixnaw-based Assured Power, run by motorsport people Jamie Masterson and Mick Murphy, has come on board to support his efforts.
Tralee-based Masterson is a well-known motorsport competitor. He has raced cars, bikes and sidecars and Mondello Park and is currently involved in drifting.
Walsh is also hoping to return to the Manx Grand Prix in August.
“James is brilliant, he really knows his stuff,” said Walsh. “He is going to build me a spare engine for the Manx Grand Prix, which will be a great help.”
