Kerry co-drivers head to Belgium for Rallye Salamandre
Two Kerry co-drivers are set to tackle the Rallye Salamandre in Belgium. The asphalt event, taking place on Sunday, April 13t, is the first round of the 2025 Flanders International Rally Challenge (FIRC).
Shane Buckley is making the trip and will be calling the notes for Welsh driver Davies Thomas. The pair will be competing in a brand new BMW M3 E30. Buckley and Thomas have worked together before, most recently finishing second in the Historic class at the 2024 Rali Ceredigion in a Ford Escort.
Also on the entry list is Keith McCarthy. This will be McCarthy’s third time competing on Belgian roads. He will be alongside Cork driver Neil Phelan for the event.
