West Cork Rally
A top-class entry will kick off the 2025 NAPA Auto Parts Irish Tarmac Rally Championship on the West Cork Rally. Three days of ultimate asphalt rallying starts on Friday with 18 quality stages awaiting the 138 mainfield crews.
Keith Cronin and his Aghadoe co-driver Mikie Galvin top West Cork Rally’s entry list contenders but the Cork-Kerry crew face stiff opposition to defend both their 2024 West Cork Rally win and their Irish Tarmac title.
Several other Kerry crews will be participating, including Vincent O’Shea (Kenmare) / Eoin O’Donoghue (Killarney) in a Darrian T90 and Darren Young (Tralee) / Pa Lawlor (Tralee) in a Honda Civic.
Killarney drivers on the entry list include Bob Moran (Glenflesk) in a Ford Escort and Sam Leech (Fossa) in a Honda Civic
John Corrigan (Waterville) competes in a Honda Civic.
Kieran Reen (East Kerry) co-drives for Cork’s Anthony O’Driscoll (driver) in a Peugeot 208
Relative newcomers Daniel O’Connor and Michael O’Shea are in a Honda Civic
Fergus O’Meara (Killorglin) in a BMW M3 will compete in the Historic section,
Castleisland-based co-driver Denny Greaney is alongside Wayne Evans in a Ford Escort Mk2
Darragh Lynch (co-driver) will also be competing in the Junior rally alongside Eoin Sheahan in a Honda Civic on Sunday.
