LAUNCH AND REUNION
Kerry Motor Club will launch the Circuit of Kerry in The Rose Hotel on Saturday evening with an extended event to mark the first running of the rally 50 years ago.

Several members of the original 1975 organising committee have confirmed their attendance, including clerk of the course Mike Marshall, deputy clerk of the course Rae Kelliher, event secretary Kay Caball and RIAC steward James Doherty.
Doherty, from Adare is also a past winner of the rally and he will join several other previous winners of the event in what is sure to be a special night of celebration for the club.
“There is an open invitation to everyone who has played a part in the rally over the last half century to come along on the night and enjoy an evening of reminiscing,” said a club spokesperson.
The event gets underway at 7 pm but there will be a display of modern and historic rally cars from 5pm in The Rose Hotel’s main carpark and an exhibition of club memorabilia spanning the 50 years and more in the hotel’s main ballroom.
Just as newspapers and magazines are paid for, digital editorial content will also have to be paid for.
