Milltown’s Ger Conway will co-drive for Welsh driver Merion Evans in selected rounds of the NAPA Irish Tarmac Rally Championship this year.

Their first outing was planned for the postponed Corrib Oil Galway International Rally at the weekend.
Evans’ regular co-driver, Jonathan Jackson, is taking a sabbatical due to work commitments with Motorsport UK.
Evans plans to compete in the British Rally Championship with a Toyota Yaris Rally2 and will also contest selected ITRC events.
Conway will partner Evans for Irish rallies but cannot commit to the BRC due to his own work schedule.
“I’m doing whatever rallies he [Evans] decides to do in Ireland this year,” said Conway. “The plan before Galway was to do Galway, West Cork and Donegal.”
Conway and Evans have worked together twice previously, achieving a second-place overall finish on the Donegal International Rally last June.
