Top Part Awards night
The 31st annual Top Part West Coast Rally Championship awards ceremony will take place this Saturday night in Loughrea, County Galway. Kerry drivers and co-drivers are set to be among the celebrated, marking a strong showing in the 2024 season.
Sponsored by Tralee-based motor factor group Top Part since its inception, the championship has a long history of Kerry involvement.
This year, Paul McGlinchey will be recognised for his success as co-driver to Sean Og Scanlon in Class 2A in their Honda Civic to victory. Gearoid O’Regan, also driving a Honda Civic, will receive an award for his third-place finish in Class 3.
The all-Kerry crew of Dave Slattery and Denis Coffey, driving a Ford Escort, secured second place in Class 13.
Fellow Kerrymen Mike Quinn and Kieran Doherty, driving another Ford Escort, claimed first place in Class 14.
Jamie O’Rourke and Patrick Brislane, another all-Kerry crew in a Honda Civic, will be presented with the Overall Junior Award.
The awards ceremony takes place in Loughrea, County Galway on Saturday night.
