Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy members McErlean and Treacy to contest Triton Showers National Rally Championship opener.

The opening round of the Triton Showers Motorsport Ireland National Rally Championship has received a significant boost with the confirmation that WRC star Josh McErlean will contest the Midland Moto Stages Rally.
McErlean, who will drive Paul Rowley’s Ford Fiesta Rally2 on the National Championship’s season opener on March 2.
The Midland Motor Club confirmed the news over the weekend.
McErlean and co-driver Eoin Treacy will compete in their M-Sport Ford Puma Rally1 debut at the Rally Monte Carlo next week, followed by the Rally Sweden in February.
They will then return home to compete in the Longford-based event and will attend the ceremonial start taking place on March 1 in Longford Town Centre.
