Imokilly Motor Club Honours WRC Bound Eoin Treacy
Eoin Treacy was honoured by his home club, Imokilly Motor Club, at a special presentation on New Year’s Day.
The event, at Wallis’ Bar Midleton, celebrated Treacy’s recent signing with the M-Sport Ford World Rally Team, as a co-driver alongside Josh McErlean for all 14 rounds of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship.
Treacy, a native of Killeagh, East Cork, has been steadily climbing the rallying ranks with the help of the Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy.
Last season he competed with Jon Armstrong in the FIA European Rally Championship, achieving impressive results, including several fastest stage times.

His partnership with fellow Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy member McErlean, marks a significant milestone in their careers.
The duo will be driving a Ford Puma Rally1 car, supported by the MI Rally Academy and backed by founder and patron John Coyne.

“It’s a huge honour to be recognised by my home club,” said Treacy. “I’m incredibly excited about the opportunity to compete at the highest level of rallying with Josh. This is a dream come true.”
Treacy’s WRC journey begins this weekend with snow tests in Sweden, followed by the season-opening Rallye Monte Carlo at the end of the month.
Kieran Beaverstock, Chairman of Imokilly Motor Club said:
“Who would have thought that an Imokilly club member would end up at this level? On behalf of the Imokilly motor club we wish Josh and Eoin and the Msport World Rally team the best of luck in 2025 and not forgetting Eoin’s Mom and Dad Allen and Noreen and all the Treacy family the very best of luck with helping Eoin on his journey in 2025.”
