Let’s Revisit 2024’s Standout Moments:
The year kicked off with a bang – the exciting news of Kerry’s potential bid to host a World Rally Championship round in 2025 – fingers crossed this story will continue to evolve in 2025.
A massive congratulations to Keith Cronin and Kerry’s own Mikie Galvin for securing the 2024 Irish Tarmac Rally Championship title!
We were thrilled to welcome Kalle Rovanperä, the two-time World Rally Champion, to Killarney in November.
While rallying takes centre stage in Kerry, we also celebrated achievements in road racing and other disciplines.
The Motorsport Irelanf Rally Academy continued to be a breeding ground for future champions and we proudly worked alongside all its driver who enjoyed success at national and international levels this year – and big thanks to Sean McHugh and John Coyne for opportunities offered to competitors and others like us at the other side of the fence.

Kerry Motorsport News has championed up-and-coming driver Aoife Raftery since she started rallying.. We’ve followed her journey closely – stay tuned for more on her exciting career progression!
