Moriarty’s Central Car Sales Kingdom of Kerry Rally Championship update

The Rose Hotel Kerry Winter Rally is the penultimate round of the Moriarty’s Central Car Sales Kerry Winter Rally.
Defending champion Darren Young and Colin O’Donoghue are the joint leaders after they both took a class win on the Rally of the Lakes.
Young competes in Class 11F in a Honda Civic, always a well-supported class on any rally, and won on both days of the Rally Lakes, giving him the maximum ten points on each day plus a starter point.
O’Donoghue has a similar story, with two Class 14 wins in his Ford Escort but he wont start the Kerry Winter Raly due to a late exhaust fault.
Alan Ring holds third place and leads the historic section in his BMW M3. Tommy Mason is next up, followed closely by Vincent O’Shea, Sean Hickey and Ray O’Neill.
The co-driver’s section is less clear-cut. Leading the championship is O’Shea’s right-hand man Eoin O’Donoghue, he has extra points as he also contested the Killarney Forestry Rally in February.
Pa Lawlor, Young’s co-driver is tied with O’Donoghue’s co-driver Kieran O’Donoghue in third place.
Noel O’Sullivan, the defending champion co-driver is also involved in this three-way tiebreak following his two wins on the Rally of the Lakes.
If Alan Ring maintains his current podium position drivers like Fergus O’Meara and Mark Falvey are in line to win the historic section.
