Walsh declared Belfast Club champion for 2024
Ardfert motorcycle racer Stephen Walsh has been declared a Belfast and District Motor Club champion for 2024.
Walsh who races a Honda CB450 in classic races did not contest Saturday’s Sunflower meeting at
However, he had enough points in hand to claim the title with two rounds to spare to win the pre-1973 Classic Championship in what is his first-ever championship title.
The Belfast and District Motor Club championship runs across nine race meetings at the Bishopscourt and Kirkistown short circuits.
His best result came in June when he won the pre-1973 race at Kirkistown.
“After all the ups and downs of the year, it’s very nice to come away with something,” he said
