Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy member Aoife Raftery is set to return to the scene of her 2023 Cambrian Rally heartbreak, aiming to prove that her impressive performance last year was no fluke.

Despite leading the Junior British Rally Championship element of the rally at one point, Raftery was forced to settle for a lower finish due to overheating brakes.
Now, she’s eager to make amends and showcase her pace against a strong field of Junior BRC and Stellantis Rally Cup contenders.

Since her last Junior BRC appearance, Raftery has continued to impress in the Junior FIA European Rally Championship.
The Peugeot 208 Rally4 driver narrowly missed out on a podium finish in Rally Hungary and demonstrated strong speed in the recent Rali Ceredigion, outpacing many of her Junior BRC and Stellantis Rally Cup rivals.

“There’s a great Rally4 class field there, and lots of drivers fighting for championships, so the pace is going to be fast,” Raftery said. “I’m looking forward to seeing how we’ll get on against them all.”
Raftery will be co-driven by Hannah McKillop.

The Cambrian Rally will take place on Saturday and will feature seven forestry stages in North Wales.
