The Rose Hotel Kerry Winter Rally launch tonight at 7pm – entry list to be revealed

Kerry Motor Club has attracted a full field of nearly 150 cars for its November 3

Entries closed for the rally on Friday last and confirmed among the frontrunners is 2022 champion Monaghan’s Richard Moffett and his Kerry co-driver Ger Conway in their Toyota Starlet.

Top local drivers include the 2024 Rally of the Lakes modified category winner Colin O’Donoghue.

The Killarney man will face stiff competition from the likes of Rob Duggan and former winner Mike Quinn while Limerick’s Chris O’Callaghan.

One interesting entry is that of Declan Willmott, the 1991 winner of the rally. The Limerick driver emigrated to America shortly after his victory 33 years ago but has recently resettled in Ireland.

The rally is a counting round for the Top Part West Coast Rally Championship, Moriarty’s Central Car Sale Kingdom of Kerry Rally Championship, and the Ace Signs Southern 4 Rally Championship.

New for 2024 is the new service park at the North Campus of the Munster Technological University in Tralee while The Rose Hotel will serve as the event’s headquarters.

Associate sponsors include Kelliher’s Toyota and Kerry Motor Works while the stages will be held in the Castleisland area.
