Noel Moloney has strengthened his position at the top of the co-drivers championship in the New Zealand North Island Rally Series following the recent Rally of the Bay of Plenty.

Driving alongside Quentin Palmer in a Mitsubishi Lancer E6, Moloney and his team faced a challenging event, battling a broken jackshaft that forced them to run in three-wheel drive for four stages. Despite these setbacks, they managed to secure valuable points towards the overall series standings.

With the Rally of Waitomo serving as the final round this Sunday, Moloney currently holds a nine-point advantage over Brianna Little in the co-drivers championship. Meanwhile, Palmer sits just one point behind Phil Campbell in the drivers standings.

Moloney expressed his gratitude to his team, including Ian Lew and Fi, for their exceptional service and support throughout the Rally of the Bay of Plenty. As they prepare for the decisive Rally of Waitomo, Moloney remains focused on maintaining his lead and securing the co-drivers’ championship title.
