Aghadoe-based co-driver John McCarthy will get his first taste of four-wheel driving on Saturday’s Harvest Rally when he navigates Declan Milkman Gallagher’s Ford Fiesta Rally2.
Gallagher has traded in his usual Toyota Starlet for the Ford Fiesta Rally2.
This will be the first time Gallagher has driven a Rally2 car.
Other Kerry competitors in action in Letterkenny on Saturday include Noel O’Sullivan who is alongside top seed Callum Devine in a Skoda Rally.
Ger Conway partners with Richard Moffett in a Toyota Starlet RWD.
Colin O’Donoghue is the only Kerry driver on the entry list and he had local man Dale McGettigan on the notes in his Ford Escort Mk2.
The other John McCarthy, from Currow, is alongside Peter Wilson in another Escort.
