Quick round-up on how the Irish crews are fairing a Secto Rally Finland at midday service on Friday.
Josh McErlean and James Fulton are 10th in WRC2 and sixth in the WRC2 Challenger category in their Skoda Fabia Raly2.
It’s been quite tricky, just struggling with the rhythm, to be honest. Quick reset in service this morning and we’ll go again this afternoon.”
William Creighton and Liam Regan are 13th in the WRC2 Challenger category.
“It’s been a baptism of fire, the stage before this is proper Finland, massive jumps. The car didn’t feel 100% on the last stage so I’m grateful to have service,” said the Ford Fiesta Rally2 driver.
Eamonn Kelly and Conor Mohan, second after last night’s opening SuperSpecial have dropped a lot of time this morning after getting caught out in heavy rain showers while their rivals experienced relatively dry runs.  They are ninth in the Junior WRC standings. The cancelation of stages toe and three is not helping them either
Takamoto Katsuta and Aaron Johnston are showing ninth overall but lost a load of time following a collision with a tree that ripped the right-rear wheel off.
