A look back at last Sunday’s classic car show in Killarney

Killarney Valley Classic and Vintage Club had a huge turn for the annual Classic and Vintage Show at the racecourse on Sunday.

With an almost full attendance of 130 vehicles, with cars, jeeps and motorbikes as far back as 1936 there was something for everyone.
Along with the main show, there was also a display of Volkswagen Golfs which is celebrating 50 years of production.
At least one version of each Golf, from a 1974 Mk1 to a 2004 model was on display.
“Killarney Valley Classic and Vintage Club would especially like to thank those who brought their pristine vehicles on the day to put on display for the general public to view. We are always amazed at the quality of Classic vehicles that come to our show.”
“Also. the hardworking dedicated members who put in weeks of work behind the scenes to ensure the show runs so smoothly,” said club PRO Richard O’Donoghue.
“Thanks as always to our club sponsor BG Motors Killarney along with DJ Tim for the live music, the Killarney Racecourse for such a spectacular setting and The Racecourse cafe for refreshments.”
