Colin O’Sullivan just misses out on Top-32 spot at round three of Irish Drift Championship
Kerry’s Colin on Sullivan, 17, has had a fantastic run at round three of the Irish Drift Championship in Mondello Park last weekend.#
Fighting against less-than-ideal weather conditions, Colin took it from qualifying to the podium.
It was no easy task as a high-energy battle with Eoin Magner saw Colin through to the top-four battle for third place with Jack Caldwell who eventually took the spot.
Colin claimed victory in his class resulted in a fourth place in the overall competition but he did finish third place Junior for the second time this year
This got Colin through to Sunday’s round of the IDC and an opportunity to compete against the Pro category drivers and to enter the top-32 shoot-out.

Colin put his heart out on the track but unfortunately qualifying in the Pros was not on the cards just yet he was pipped to the Top-32 run-off by just 0.3 of a point.

So far Colin has had a podium spot in round two and three of the Irish Drift Championships, the final two rounds are sure to bring some fantastic driving from this talented young man.
