Murphy launches fundraising campaign for Isle of Man debut
Mountcollins-based motorcycle racer Andrew Murphy has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help him get to the Isle of Man in August.
Murphy has held a long-term ambition to contest the Manx Grand Prix.

In April he made his Cookstown 100 debut in Tyrone. Last month he took three wins in Mondello but events at the County Kildare track do not count towards road racing licences.
With that in mind, he has placed an entry for this weekend’s Barry Sheen Festival at the famous Oliver’s Mount Road Circuit in Yorkshire. Situated just five minutes from Scarborough’s town centre, the track has been likened to a ‘miniature TT by the seaside’.
He also launched his fundraising campaign this week.
“I’m super excited to share my GoFundMe campaign with you all,” he said.
