Murphy to race overseas for the first time in 15 years
Andrew Murphy will compete in an overseas motorcycle race for the time since 2009 next month.

The Mountcollins, County Limerick rider is preparing for the Manx Grand Prix in August.
To get his road racing licence he needs to finish a certain amount of road racing events this year.
The Honda NC400 riders in dovetailing his Mondello Park Irish Masters National Championship campaign with a series of closed road events in Northern Ireland and England.
Last month he made his Cookstown 100 debut in Tyrone. Earlier this month he took three wins in Mondello but events at the County Kildare track do not count towards road racing licences.
With that in mind, he has placed an entry for The Barry Sheen Festival at the famous Oliver’s Mount Road Circuit in Yorkshire.
Situated just five minutes from Scarborough’s town centre, the track has been likened to a ‘miniature TT by the seaside’.
The 4km track has always been regarded as a challenging, tight, and twisty circuit, which tests riders’ skills to the maximum.
The Barry Sheene Classic meeting brings together a great mix of classic and modern bikes, sidecars, and riders.
“Oliver’s Mount is on June 15 and 16. I am heading over Thursday night from Dublin. Friday is set-up day and -track walk with instructors,” he said.
“This is my first overseas event in years. The last time I raced in the UK was in 2009. I don’t have a running order yet but I am hoping to get qualifying and one race on Saturday and two races on Sunday.”
