Mick Smith is set to contest this weekend’s BCIC Rally Barbados and Hillman Imp driver has attracted two of the biggest brandss on the island as his official supporters.
Rally Barbados (May 31-June 2) is a tarmac rally with around 20 special stages run on the island’s intricate network of public roads, under road closure orders granted by the Ministry of Transport, Works & Water Resources
On Sunday (May 26) First Citizens King of the Hill sprint, run under a similar arrangement, features four timed runs on a roughly four-kilometre stage, the results of which are used to seed the running order for the main event.
.Smith is contesting both events for the second time.
Last year he received backing from Rentokil Initial Ireland for the first time and that company has come back on board this year.
He is also receiving backing from the Barbados Rum Cake company. These delicious fresh baked Chocolate Rum Cakes are made in Barbados with Mount Gay Rum
