Crean scores championship points on BSB debut

Tralee racer Darragh Crean made a sensational British Superbike Championship debut on Bank Holiday Monday by taking an 11th place finish at Oulton Park.

Crean, riding for the DJ Racing team also finished in the point on his Aprilia

“It was a great point scoring ride for Darragh in his second race of the weekend,” said team boss Danny Breen.

“After a few changes overnight by the lads in the garage and having a quick run out in the morning warm-up, we knew we were headed in the right direction with bike setup.

“Starting from 21st on the grid, Darragh battled his way through the field setting his personal best lap of the weekend, helping him climb up to a very creditable 11th place and finishing in the points for his first ever BSB weekend.  We were a very happy camp heading for the boat on Monday, roll on Donington Park next weekend.
