The Kerry crews who survived a day of high attrition at the Birr Rally
Seeded at 28 Mike Quinn/Kieran Doherty in their Ford Escort Mk2 were the best of the Kerry crews in Birr – they finished 33rd and seventh in class.
John McCarthy (Currow) guided Peter Wilson to ninth in class 13 in another Ford Escort.
Gary Healy and Gearoid Moynihan were sixth in class 11F in a Honda Civic EK4.
Sean Scanlon and Paul McGlinchey were second in class 2A in another Honda Civic Type R.
Ger Somers guided Raymond Spence to 18th in class in another Ford Escort Mk2
Mossie Costello had a new co-driver – Conor Lappen- and they were eighth in class in a Ford Fiesta Rally4.
Sean Hickey/Noel Fleming were also eighth in their class in a Toyota Starlet RWD.
Gearóid O’Regan and Aaron O’Connor were third in class in a Honda Civic Type R and finally Jamie O’Rourke and Patrick Brislane were seventh in the junior rally in a Honda Civic.
