PCRS Rallysport running four cars in Hungary this weekend

The FIA European Rally Championship kicks into life this weekend with a new gravel event in Hungary

Having run on asphalt since its inception in 2019, Rally Hungary will be gravel only this year with the event relocating to the city of Veszprém, approximately one hour southwest of the capital Budapest for its fifth edition. Challenging stages around Lake Balaton await.

Irish rally team PCRS Rallysport is running for cars on the event.

Aoife Raftery and Hannah McKillop and Jack Brennan and John McGrath will form a two-car Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy  team in the Junior element of the championship. 

They will drive a pair of PCRS Rallysport-supported Peugeot 208 Rally4 cars on the three-day event that gets underway on Friday night. 

PCRS is also running the Hyundai i20 Rally2 of Phillip Allen and Dale Furniss and the Ford Fiesta Rally3 fielded by Turk Kerem Kazaz and co-driver Mālnieks Andris

Further Irish interest includes Jon Armstrong and Eoin Treacy will make their debut in an M-Sport / Rally Academy-supported Ford Fiesta Rally2.
