North Kerry brothers plan Australian motorcycle racing season
Two Australia-based Kerry motorcycle racers are set to sample one of the most famous tracks Down Under in the coming weeks.
Dylan and Tom McElligott were frontrunners in the Superport and SuperTwin classes in the Dunlop Masters Motorcycle Racing Championship at Mondello Park up to the end of the 2022 season.

The brothers, from Kilflynn, have since emigrated to Australia with Dylan now based in Sydney and Tom in Melbourne.

Dylan started racing under the St Geroge Motorcycle Racing Club banner at Sydney Motorsport Park last year.

However, a crash ruled him out of much of the club’s summer series.
He is waiting for the winter series to start there in July and will take his Kawasaki ZX6r race bile to the world-famous Phillip Island racetrack near Melbourne to get some pre-season testing in before the Sydney championship begins again in Jully.
Phillip Island is home to the Australian Moto GP round and one of the most famous racetracks in the world.
“I am travelling down to my brother Tom in less than three weeks; time with my 2012 zx6r to spend a day on the Moto GP track at, Phillip Island. We will also be travelling to Broadford Raceway track too, for a day’s practice there,” said Dylan.

It will be the start of my practising after my crash a few months ago.
“The St George club racing starts up again around July so I am going to be starting to practise for that.”
