Slattery and O’Sullivan are Kingdom of Kerry Rally Champions for 2023

Dave Slattery and Noel O’Sullivan have been declared the Moriarty’s Central Car Sales Kingdom of Kerry Rally Championship for 2023.#

For both, it is their first time winning the only county rally championship in the country.

Strong results for Slattery on the Circuit of Kerry, Rally of the Lakes and Killarney Historic Rally ensured the Glenflesk-based Ford Escort won the coveted title.

Co-driver O’Sullivan finished second overall on the Circuit of Kerry and the Rally of the Lakes to ensure won the navigator’s title.

He pipped Slattery’s map man Denis Coffey to the title by just one point.

Rob Duggan’s powerful opening day on the Rally of the Lakes and his victory on the Historic Rally means the Aghadoe man finished second in the driver’s race.

Barraduff’s Shane Doyle, despite recording a non-finish in the Historic Rally put in good performances in the other two events to take third.

The bronze medal for co-drivers goes to Donagh Crowley, he took a double class win on the Rally of the Lakes alongside Jason Farrell and ended his season alongside his neighbour Denis Nagle in a hired Ford Escort G3 for the historic rally.
