Katie Quinn is the 2023 Women in Motorsport Ireland champion

Kerry Motor Club’s Katie Quinn is the Top Part West Coast Rally Championship Women in Motorsport Ireland champion for 2023.

This is the Honda Civic driver’s second time winning the prestigious award having won it too in its inaugural year in 2019.

Quinn wrapped up the title at Sunday’s Fastnet Rally.

In the absence of her main title rival, Galway’s Aoife Raftery, who was contesting the previous day’s Cambrian Rally in Wales, all Quinn had to do was start the Fastnet Rally to secure the title.

“It is great to win it a second time, I was the first one to win and to have it again is nice,” said Quinn.whose Honda Civic suffered an engine failure.

Despite the retirement she had enough points in hand over Raftery to claim the title.

“I got what I set out to do at the start of the year,”

She will be presented with her at the Top Part West Coast Championship’s 30th anniversary awards presentation in Tralee in January.
