Motorcycling’s uncertainty forces more bike sales
Tralee racer Emmet O’Grady is the latest rider to place his race bikes for sale.
Motorcycling Ireland, the governing body for the sport, has yet to confirm if it has secured insurance for 2024.
There was no racing in the Republic of Ireland this year and so far there has been no calendar announcements for next season.
As a result O’Grady’s team TAG Racing has decided to place his Honda Fireblade and Honda Supersport on the market.

“In the current state of Irish racing the correct decision has been made to sell the bikes,” he said on a social media post.
“If the current shambles of a situation in the MCUI [Motorcycling Ireland] changes we will be back on track. But it seems pigs will fly first.”
Road Racer Anthony O’Carroll has already placed his two bikes up for sale.
