Last week Kerry motorsport lost a legend with the passing of Dermot O’Sullivan.
One time Tralee-based photographer John Crone sent in these rare but brilliant shots of Dermot in action on the 1977 Circuit of Munster Rally.
“These photos showed Dermot at his wildest,” said John.

“I always refer to these photos as ‘goin’ in’ and ‘comin out’ and you can see why.

This was the famous KIN500, a car he used in dramatic style.
You can see the effect his antics had on the spectators.”
