The Brosna-Browne rally dynasty explained
Every local and not-so-local rally seems to have members of the Browne family from Brosna, County Kerry on the entry.
It is very hard to keep track of them all. Now, thanks to Anna Browne, Kerry Motorsport News, can reveal the Browne family tree.
The leader of the bunch is Maurice.
Last seen on this year’s Circuit of Kerry when he was co-driven by one of his rally sons, Chris
previous rally was the 2022 Kerry Winter Rally when he was co-driven by his cousin James – Anna’s husband.

Maurice and James would have contested around 20 rallies together since they started in 2005, mainly in the Kerry area.
Chris is better known as a driver. He is usually co-driven by his older brother Michael, as was the case during this year’s Rally of the Lakes.
Chris and Michael have another older brother, Colm who is based in Cookstown, County Tyrone and more often than not competes on Northern Irish Rally championship events.
brother’s cousin Kieron, a nephew of Maurice is based in New Zealand and is heavily involved in the rally scene both there and in Australia.
