Former Rally of the Lakes winners to gather for charity event
Rally fans are in for a rare treat later this month when some of the sport’s biggest names will gather for a charity event at Killarney Racecourse.
Killarney and District Motor Club is hosting a night of champions in aid of the Jack and Jill Foundation on October 14.
The event will celebrate the Rally of the Lakes association with Prodrive-built cars. The British firm has string links with Subaru and BMW and both marques were the car of choice for several past winners of the local international rally.
Several past winners of the rally have already confirmed their attendance at the event.
These include double winners Daragh O’Riordan (2011, 2012) and Tim McNulty (2006 and 2009).

Alastair Fisher will represent his uncle, the late great Bertie, a record six-time winner. Twenty years after his success, Eugene Donnelly is also signed up for the event, as is 2010 winner Denis Cronin.
Alongside a questions and answers session on stage in the main auditorium at Killarney Racecourse, and under the watchful eye of legendary rally commentator Alan ‘Plum’ Tyndal, several of the past winners cars will go on static display outside.
