Co-driver Noel Moloney contested Saturday’s Maramarua Forest Rally in New Zealand.
The six-stage rally was the third round of the North Island Rally series.
It took place over 80kms of Special Stages, and will be a ‘blind’ rally (so no stage notes or pace notes, route book only).
Moloney was alongside Clinton Cunningham in a Skoda Fabia R5.

In his own words, this is how they go on:
“We had a good weekend was had.
“It was good to be back in the Skoda but was quite a hot day in the forest.
“We set out on the first loop of stages probably not quick enough then we anticipated, so by midday service we were in sixth position 21.3 secs down.
“We went out in the afternoon having a better run on the swept road to end up the day in fifht place third in class and 2.7 seconds off fourth place.
“It was a great battle all day with Jay Pittiams and JP Van Der Myee – it was a great day’s rallying in the forests.”
